Hi Team,
So I tried to negotiate with the clients reps on the balance due. Their
initial offer was 30k to settle the account which is ridiculous because the
total balance due is 94k. Please review Lisa's email (the clients POA).
I was trying to figure out a way to get them to pay as much without going
into further discussions about legal issues, etc.
I will leave it to you all to figure out how we should proceed.
My suggestion:
We contacted Lisa about the issue regarding the facility and payment at the
end of April. I'm sure she was aware of the situation but she mentioned
that she had not received invoices prior. So in April she was made aware of
the situation and still continued care after the fact. The balance that
racked up after that notification is $29,462,44. I would tell her that they
need to pay this balance in full and negotiate the remaining balance of
about roughly 55k.
Gerard, if you can take it forward from here, would appreciate it. Las
mentioned he needs to get clearance to offer a significant discount.
thank you,

Hi Ali,
The financial advisor says he has no authority to speak to you. His concern
is that you keep saying you are not charging interest or late fees and he
would like to see the contract where it says you can charge these. He is
not questioning that your company performed the work, he is questioning on
what authority was the work performed.
I have given you my offer to settle your account, do you have a
counter-offer?
Lisa

Hey Lisa,
What exactly does the Financial advisor need? I can get them all data from
caregiver check in and out, location service was provided and full
breakdown. The invoices show all of that but I can provide back end data if
needed for validation?
Can you give me the financial advisors email please or phone number so I
can get them exactly what they need?
We have not charged interest or late fees at all and it's only the balance
for services rendered. We have provided services from Jan-Present with no
payment being made and hence why the balance is at where it is.
Thank you,

Hi Ali,
I spoke to Helene's financial advisor to request more money to pay this
bill and he said he was concerned that this was a legitimate expense for
Helene and says he will not release any funds without first seeing all the
paperwork (I have provided him with the outstanding bill).
He requested to see the contract setting this out the cost, hours,
interest, etc. before he will release any money. As I am only the power of
attorney and not a joint account holder, I must account for all expenses
and he is responsible for their accuracy.

Hi Lisa,
Following up in regards to our phone conversation, have you spoken to the
financial advisor again based on what we spoke about?
We need to figure out a plan going forward and as mentioned, management is
not adamant on settling with the 30k you proposed given that the balance is
at 96k.
I told you I would try my best and get a discount for balance due, but you
will need to talk to the financial advisor and get back to me on plan.
Thank you,
