DIVISION HEADS AND CAREGIVER EXPERIENCE TEAM UPDATE ORGANIZATION
ON UBER CENTRAL PLATFORM POLICY
Division Heads are partnering with the Caregiver Experience team to clarify
the company’s Uber Central Platform usage policy. While exceptions may vary
based on region or situation, the company’s Uber platform may only be used
by Caregivers on an exceptions or one-time emergency usage basis.
All job descriptions for Caregivers indicate the following requirement:
“Caregivers must have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from
work.” Caregivers cannot be reimbursed to get to or from work or for any
transportation other than a one-time emergency or other manager-approved
exception.
Moving forward, regional leaders, including Staffing Managers and Regional
Directors must approve all Uber Central Platform usage. Regional teams
should review their Uber reports to ensure Caregivers are only using the
platform per these updated policy guidelines. Leaders are asked to provide
corrective direction to teams in the event of Caregivers repeatedly or
consistently using the platform outside of approved one-time emergency or
exceptions-based usage.
Division heads and the Caregiver Experience team are underscoring that the
Uber Central Platform is not a source of transportation for Caregivers,
including going to/from work assignments or for any other reason, other
than a one-time emergency or exception approved by regional leadership.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and questions are always welcome
by contacting your Division Head.
