Sue will discuss with he= r Rehab Team about adding HCA to the list and also finding out about a =E2=80=9CRes= ource List=E2=80=9D for the Winnipeg Hospitals. Cindy to follow-up in 1 week with= Sue. Brochures, business cards and information left with Sue. Another good meeting with Director of Patient Services, Joanne Van Dyck, at Riverview Health Centre, which is the second Rehab hospital in Winnipeg. After meeting with Sue at Deer Lodge, Cindy will follow-up with Joanne to see if they have a =E2=80=9CResource List=E2=80=9D at Riverview Health Cent= re and how HCA can be added if we are not on it. *An excellent insight that needs to be leveraged soon*: For those clients not happy with the WRHA Homecare Program, the Winnipeg Team continues to inform them about the Self and/or Family Managed (S&FM) Care Program and to apply through their Home Care Case Coordinators. (Most of the general public is not aware of this). They need to complete the forms and then return back to their Home Care Case Coordinator who sends the completed forms to the S&FM Care Program Manager. The wait for approval is currently around 1-2 months. Once they receive the Government funding, then they can use the money to hire their own caregivers or a private homecare company and pay the difference. The benefit of hiring a private homecare company is they then do not have to worry about hiring staff and dealing with Workers= =E2=80=99 Compensation, vacation pay etc.,; Home Care Assistance does that all for them. * Challenges / Concerns:* *1. *People changing positions within accounts and having to rebuild relationships =E2=80=93 *diversify your relationship in a community with ED= , sales consultant, Health/Wellness or DoC, recreation specialist. * *2. *Having minimums (3 hour shifts and 9 hours/week) is necessary for consistency of caregivers and for operations, but still poses a challenge for a lot of Winnipeg clients. *Look into cluster care using the Abbotswood Case Study.* *3. *Healthcare teams (Exec Dir, DOC=E2=80=99s, Resident Care Managers) = continue to be spread thin and are dealing with short staffing etc. (RNs, LPNs and healthcare aides) =E2=80=93 *Focus on our strengths (non-medical home care)= .* *4. *Starting to see Covid outbreaks happening again in Healthcare facilities & senior communities *=E2=80=93 More opportunities with staffing= issues. Need to prepare Operations with Healthcare Aides ready to work in COVID-19 units. @Timothy Thomas * *5. *Had few opportunities (LPN/nursing staffing requests and client referral from SLC) and did not materialize due to lack of LPNs and slow response from care solutions manager *=E2=80=93 2 Service Level Interventio= n submissions this month.* 6. Using HCA marketing materials currently and TheKey branded marketing materials should be used in specific cases* =E2=80=93 Matt provided the per= mission to use TheKey case studies (ATTACHED)* * Pipeline Health:* 7 leads/5 opportunities this month so far and only 2 prospects were entered in the system. Cindy to take the lead in entering the leads if Care Solutions is busy. Only 1 SoC.
