Here's a brief update on our progress: 1. Establishment of a Joint Health and Safety Committee Establishment of a Joint Health and Safety Committee: Pursuant to Section 13 of the Alberta OHS Act, we are in the process of establishing a joint health and safety committee to oversee and promote health and safety initiatives within our organization. 2. Regular Contact for Workers Working Alone: As per Section 394 of the Alberta HS Code, we are ensuring regular contact for workers working alone, covering both day shifts and overnight shifts. This measure is being implemented to enhance the safety and well-being of our employees. 3. Development of an Emergency Response Plan: In line with Section 115 of the Alberta OHS Code, we are developing an emergency response plan tailored to address potential emergencies requiring worker rescue or evacuation. Our aim is to ensure swift and effective responses to any unforeseen circumstances. 4. Implementation of Violence Prevention Plan: As per Section 390 of the Alberta OHS Code, we are actively developing and implementing a comprehensive violence prevention plan. This plan includes the formulation of a violence prevention policy and the implementation of associated procedures to safeguard our workplace environment. 5. Establishment of a Harassment Prevention Plan: In accordance with Section 390.4 of the Alberta OHS Code, we are dedicated to establishing a harassment prevention plan. This plan will encompass a robust harassment prevention policy along with the necessary procedures to address any instances of harassment in the workplace. While our intention is to implement these requirements across all our locations, we recognize the urgency for compliance in Alberta. Therefore, we aim to have these measures in place at our Alberta offices before the next OHS visit scheduled for May 31st. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
