The only issue was spending 4+ hours trying to find a replacement for a sick call (Tanzil in Toronto) and not being successful. The family's nighttime nurse (another agency) also called in sick so the family of the 24-year-old Muscular Dystrophy man had no care all day. This was Saturday. On Sunday, another CG called in sick for the same client. I was able to find a replacement albeit they were a little hesitant because it was a new face and a male (profile says prefers female). I couldn't let them go another shift without help, so the daughter agreed to give him a chance. Hopefully all worked out so that we can have a back-up for this client since none of the regular CGs were available both days. It is much less stressful working a 12-hour shift on Sunday and Fri. 5pm-Sat. 9pm. I thank you for making that happen!
