His reasons are related to lack of a RRSP Retirement Plan, and the waiting 3 months to become eligible for insurance. Before he accepted, I ran these questions through Maria Cobb in Benefits and she said the contract is set up for benefits beginning the first of the month after 3 months. Regarding retirement, she said implementing a plan is in the works, but not set up yet. I don't know if there is anything we can do to win him back? Perhaps a sign-on bonus? And, more details about when the retirement plan will start. It sounds like he has a good plan where he is and also he said benefits often start on the first day of employment in Canada. Any suggestions on winning him over?
