I reached out to Mareon=E2=80=99s niece, Tamara, and her Wellness Nurse at = The Mather, Bonnie, to introduce the LifeGuard system. Mareon is an excellent candidate for LifeGuard as she lives with dementia and does not have overnight caregiving support. Bonnie noted that staff have reported "behaviors" occurring after the caregivers leave. Both Tamara and Bonnie agreed that LifeGuard will provide valuable data to help us tailor Mareon's care more effectively. Given Mareon's dementia, paranoia, forgetfulness, and confusion, we need to ensure LifeGuard is installed while she is away from her apartment. I appreciate Erin's willingness to help plan this installation. Our plan is as follows: - Bonnie will invite Mareon to attend a program at The Mather this Friday at 2:00 PM. - Our caregiver will accompany Mareon to the program. - Erin and I will then install the LifeGuard system in Mareon's apartment. - I am hoping Bonnie will be able to join us for the installation so she can see the system operating firsthand. Finally, I sent the LifeGuard consent addendum to Mareon=E2=80=99s niece ye= sterday and have received the signed document back.
