Good afternoon, Tim, I hope you’re well! I’m touching base, as I reached out to Q107 and AM640 on behalf of The Key, and both stations have agreed to have ‘station talent’ voice the ad for The Key, much like the Vancouver ad is voiced by CKNW contributor Scott Shantz. While Scott doesn’t explicitly endorse The Key Vancouver, having the ad voiced by a recognizable station voice does a lot of heavy lifting in terms of trust and brand alignment for listeners. Normally there is a fee for having ‘station talent’ record ads for clients, but in this case, the fee has been waived. Here again are the Toronto options for The Key, both discounted 30% off Rate Card rates. Radio Station Duration Format Rate Card The Key Rate Weekly Occasions Total 13-Weekly spots Occasions Cost per Week Total 13-Week Package Cost AM640 3 months 13 weeks 60-second ads $87.50 $61.25 30 390 $1,837.50 $23,887.50 Q107 3 months 13 weeks 60-second ads $262.50 $179.75 25 390 $4,493.75 $58,418.75 Thanks again and chat soon, Amy [cid:image001.png@01DC5E07.DA8B8170] Amy Lauzon Integrated Account Manager | T. 778-945-9336| amy.lauzon@corusent.com<mailto:amy.lauzon@corusent.com> Corus Entertainment Inc. | corusent.com<http://corusent.com/> | 7850 Enterprise Street, Burnaby, BC, V5A 1V7 Corus™ is a trade-mark of Corus™ Entertainment Inc. or a subsidiary thereof, which might be used under licence [cid:image002.jpg@01DC5E07.DA8B8170] From: Timothy Thomas <tt@thekey.com> Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2025 10:55 AM To: Amy Lauzon <Amy.Lauzon@corusent.com> Subject: Re: Toronto Radio Campaigns Hi Amy, We're evaluating a few other stations. I'll get back to you next week. I’m touching base again re: the Toronto campaign for The Key. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these campaigns suggestions. I know that you asked about deeper discounts – Are these proposals falling outside of your budgets? If so, can you share your weekly/monthly budget? There may be a solution that can be found by getting creative with the cadence of the campaign. For example: three weeks-on, one week-off – With this, we can get that ‘always-on’ feel, while being as efficient as possible with the budgets. Let me know what you think! In terms of preferential rates for The Key – Absolutely! I have layered-in a 30% discount to the rates below – For perspective, agencies normally receive a 15% discount. Because you and I were chatting about the ‘Corus Connects’ rates, I wanted to be sure that I was able to get as close to those as possible, which is why I was able to get the 30% discount approved for The Key’s Toronto campaign. Also, as requested, attached is the CKNW Listener Profile for you to compare the two markets. It can be hard to compare stations in different markets, as there are so many contributing factors. CKNW is an ideal station in Vancouver, as it’s a legacy channel that has been on the air for over 70 years. We have a VERY dedicated listener base with CKNW, which is wonderful to have in this market. AM640 isn’t as strong of an AM station as CKNW, but it still has a great line-up and a dedicated listener base. A few things to note – There are fewer women listeners on this station, and fewer weekly listeners. Q107 has about half a million more weekly listeners than CKNW – Which accounts for the price difference with these campaigns. Along with Toronto being a larger market, Q107 is a music station on the FM dial, and the station is able to pull a lot of listeners that just happen to be in The Key’s main demo, which is always great to see. Please let me know if you have any other questions at all! While the ‘Corus Connects’ specialty rates have officially expired, I was able to secure 30% off rates for these :60-second campaign options for The Key on Q107 and AM640 stations in Toronto. Attached are the Listener Profiles for both of these stations. While AM640 has some great rates, and the listeners align well with the age demographic for The Key, I think that Q107 hits all the boxes. As you can see, Q107 has FAR more listeners per week, almost half of listeners are women, and the age demo aligns perfectly with prospective clients for The Key. In terms of the actual ads – Scott Shantz, the CKNW personality and who voices The Key ads in Vancouver, is not known in TO. If you like, I can source a Toronto personality to voice The Key ads in this market, or we can update the Vancouver ads to be used in TO.
