We look forward to= welcoming both of them and introducing them to our supplier partners in th= e coming months. Please note that although Sally will be joining Schlegel Villages on Feb 5t= h,2024 she will be doing onboarding/orientation for the first while at our = villages so she will not immediately be functioning fully in the capacity o= f Clinical AVP. We will advise when Sally transitions fully into the role o= f partaking in SV wide supplier partner interactions. Please see full announcement below Over the next few years, we will more than double the current number of Lon= g-Term Care beds at Schlegel Villages, while striving to deepen and expand = our partnerships across the entire healthcare system. This is all at a time= when complexity of care for our residents continues to feel upward pressur= e in both LTC and our Retirement neighbourhoods. To that end, we are extrem= ely excited to announce two outstanding additions to our team that will str= engthen the leadership of our clinical and medical support services across = our current and future Villages. We are grateful Dr. Rhonda Collins will jo= in our team as the new Chief Medical Officer and Sally Rakas as the AVP Cli= nical Services, both starting on February 5th. Her recent depth of experience has been = deeply focused on supporting clinical and medical capacities to ensure high= -quality outcomes for residents and seniors in the community. For more than= 6 years, Rhonda served the residents and teams of Revera Living as Chief M= edical Officer, during which time she not only supported medical services a= cross their homes, but also served as an influential leader during the diff= iculties of the pandemic. She also served her peers as President of Ontario= Long Term Care Clinicians (OLTCC). Rhonda will support our Villages from M= onday to Thursday each week and continue her relevant medical practices on = Fridays. Sally Rakas began her career in senior living as a Personal Support Worker = nearly 20 years ago, before moving on to work in a variety of clinical lead= ership roles, first with Shalom Village in Hamilton and most recently as a = National Director of Clinical Services at Revera Living, where she served f= or nearly a decade. Her support was critical in the recent ownership transi= tion from Revera Living to Extendicare, and she has always served with comp= assion, good humour and a firm belief in always putting the needs of reside= nts first in all decisions. Sally has never lost her love for hands-on c
