My phone was on silent and I was laying down, unwell. I was surprised to see your demands for me to take the on-call phone last night, given that you know I have covid and even commented yesterday on how terrible I sound. My throat is hoarse from all the coughing and it is painful to speak. We have never asked anybody who was sick to cover the on-call phone before, I usually just take it. I thought that under the circumstances, you would take care of it, even if it meant trading my nights with somebody else (even though we don't normally do that). Since you are adamant again this morning that I arrange to take it, and I am still very unwell, I am asking you to trade tonight and tomorrow night for two other weekdays. If you are able to cover this, I will be happy to take the first two weekdays in May which are assigned to you. You could offer the same to Mack and Brian if you prefer not to take it. Brian is scheduled to be on-call next Monday through Thursday so perhaps I can take his Wednesday and Thursday. I can also take an additional weekday of yours to cover you taking it last night. I can assure you that I am not "playing games" as you have accused me of via text and am just quite unwell. I anticipate being back in the office on Monday.
