Understood, we would still require a criminal record check as per our insurance in order for them to gain access to the home. All of our caregivers and office team go through this.

Tim - OIG stands for the Office of the Inspector General - it's a federal government organization here in the US. Someone would get on the OIG exclusion list if they had a suspended license, had committed financial fraud, patient abuse or neglect. In essence the person is banned from participating in federally funded healthcare programs, including Medicare and Medicaid. So - it's a high bar to pass.

Please find attached the background/license checks we did on the 4 nurses. For our US nurse I had an OIG and SAM search done in addition to the license check. I'm not aware that Canada has a similar thing so we just did the license confirmation.
Please let me know if you have any further question or require further info on the Canadian nurses.
