Owners and managers who hire and develop a strong team have more success in both employee retention and productivity. Hiring and developing a strong caregiving team will help you deliver the best service to your clients. Finding caregivers with experience, training, a strong skill set and the right behavioral style and work ethic is our primary goal when it comes to recruitment. However, in many cases we may find candidates that only partially meet these criteria. To address this challenge, we have developed the *HCA Caregiver Mentor Program*. The purpose of the Caregiver Mentor program is to help Home Care Assistance offices broaden their pool of potential caregiver hires by including less experienced candidates and assisting them in growing their skills and acumen. This program, in conjunction with our Caregiver Bootcamp Training Curriculum, which is comprised of courses from HCAU, will assist you in growing talent within your organization. *The Caregiver Mentor Program includes:* - An outline of program benefits - Caregiver mentor structure flow chart - Roles and responsibilities within the program - Training structure for both the mentor and the new hire - An outline for mentoring coaching calls - Tips for structuring and promoting the program within your office Caregiver training is not exclusive to inexperienced hires, but should be a standard practice across the board for all team members. By making this investment in our caregiving staff, we demonstrate to them our commitment to their success. For caregivers who come to us with experience, we have our 12 course training curriculum outlined in our *Hiring the Best Module.* *However, development doesn=E2=80=99t stop with training. * Demonstrating our strong culture of caring is key to retaining your caregivers.
