She is 90 yrs old and was perfectly autonomous up until a small fall = about 1.5 mths ago. She fell backwards while closing the curtains and = leaning on the couch=E2=80=A6..she has had X-rays and there are no = fractures, etc but she is still in a lot of pain and using a walker now. = She can=E2=80=99t go out as there are stairs leading into her house. She = is going stir crazy. She was going out daily and has actually been = doing pilates 1/wk for the last 15 yrs.=20 She lives in a duplex on Grosvenor and my brother in law stays with her, = however I think he is going stir crazy too. Luckily he works from his = computer and can stay home during the day. However she is getting over a UTI, had occasional diarrhea from the pain = killers. She has a prolapsed uterus (for 20 yrs now) and the uterus fell more and = became a real problem. She finally had a pessary put in her uterus to = keep it from falling farther.=20 She has a four legged pedestal tub which looks pretty but is really = impractical for bathing. She normally takes a shower, but its down in = the basement and she can=E2=80=99t take the stairs. I bought her a bath lifting chair so she can get in and sit in the tub = to shower a little but she needs help to get in and out. She would appreciate help to take the load off my brother in law: = laundry, some housekeeping and some company.=20 Eugenie (Jean) Low is a very intelligent and alert woman. She is active = on Facebook and reading articles on her iPad. She has an opinion on all = the politics of the world. She was a great cook and always made Sunday = dinners for the family. Her husband Colin died 1.5 yrs ago of pneumonia. = She cared for him with his dementia in his last few years until he = passed away at 90 yrs. I=E2=80=99m going in to visit her today and wondered if anyway could = come over sometime early afternoon. If not, we could set up another time when I can be there.
