-
Booked mtg with Barbara Blocki Feb 6 3pm (Re: Transitional Funding and
Overflowlist ) Transitional funding conversation might defer to her
Colleague Lee-Ann who is LTC lead.
-
Good meeting with Ian at Ardill Group, Wealth Advisor. (Clients minimum
Million + Portfolio) He’ll name-drop to a few high-end clients who know me
personally. Not in the Region, but good contact. Educated on preferred
referrals, and options RR/LTC & HC & HC in RR/LTC.
-
Sunnyside Contact warm intro to 2 Sunnyside social workers. They are
willing to meet but want to talk to HCCSS before we meet re: transitional
funding. George Gay situation.
-
Spotlight on Seniors Networking group is being redefined. 1 member will
create a shared googled drive with all the Retirement home contacts and is
asking for group members to help keep it updated due to the very high
turnover of managers in retirement.
-
Progress made in Cluster Care at YW Blockline! Contact Sheneka has been
off very sick, hence why there has been no response for a week. Another
staff was to provide needed info but is overwhelmed and max capacity. Mtg
Mon 1pm to get details, Care to start Tuesday.
-
Connected with Warm Embrace, a competitor. Theresa was very apologetic
for not responding. Would schedule coffee mid-Feb. She suggested next week,
I pushed to Mid-Feb.
-
Fairview had meeting with Breann Hall. Director of Home Care and
Retirement. Reconnected very well, very apologetic it took so long to met.
Learned LTC construction groundbreaking late this year. Learned details of
their Home Care, Pre Qualified with the LHIN/HCCSS, also provide all care
at PARKWOOD. They access, have 28-30 caregivers employed by them. No
staffing issues, received award for best place to work. Residents almost
never pay for any additional care services, only what is covered by
LHIN/HCCSS. She will keep us in mind if a rare situation arises. I will
drop off Collateral for her to have.
Challenges/Concerns (Referral Account Specific)
-
Winston Park SLI: Staff not in Uniform and Names Tags. Complaint against
1 caregiver on Laptop doing personal schoolwork on shift. Same caregiver
yelled at a Resident, and forced into the shower with water too hot.
Intervention done. Apologized to Winston Park. I drove over uniforms & name
tags next shift. Still in outbreak, not able to visit onsite. only Carmen
will come to door, no other managers.
-
Parkwood, Had a discussion with RR Sales Jennifer King, arranging Tour.
Jennifer King made clear she doesn’t give out any referrals for HC to her
waitlist. Also, they only use their own in-house home care HCCSS
subsidized. DOC & ADOC not available. Screener tried and said email to best
to book. Email sent again, no response.
-

General Insights/Observations:
-
Did a TVP exercise on our Unique Tailored Value Proposition.
Considering recent insists learned over the past several months. Also
influenced by Tad’s concept of simplifying and doing it well, start to
finish. Referrals and families are looking for a service they can Trust,
is Reliable, Stable and is Accountable. No frills needed. Possible
education is needed on the current stat and options or lack their of in the
Public healthcare. The biggest selling feature is not programs, BSO it is
the CSM and the informed team surrounding CSM.
-
Question: When BookJane starts will they were HCA uniform? Advertising &
Opportunity for quality checks in facilities ie Arbour Trails.
