Care Committment - Intention is required when the client's intention is less than 30 days and weekly service is less than 30 hours a week. Example: We would not need Care Commitment for a hospice patient if the client wants 30 hours or more per week and intends to have services for more than 29 days. We would need a care commitment if we have a hospital at home and the client wants 24/7 until they feel they can manage on their own, so the intention is not a definite request for more than 20 days.
