My understanding is that an amalgamation is the combining of two or more entities into a new entity. In this case, Prairie Seniors at Home Inc. amalgamated with Prairie Senior Care Inc. with Prairie Senior Care Inc. being created as a new entity (new business ID assigned). Prairie Seniors at Home Inc. as an entity no longer exists due to the amalgamation.
