Mark reviewed the videotape with the RCMP who agreed there was enough evidence to warrant speaking with the cg. -Mark stated that had Maria asked permission to remove the item to borrow it, he likely would have said yes. I spoke with the cg, Maria this morning (she contacted me). According to her: -last friday she saw a figurine belonging to Mr. Cooper. She wanted to take it and show it to her daughter, in the hopes that the daughter could purchase a similar figut=reing at a store.. Maris=a stated she had intended to bring it back to Mr. Cooper's home on Monday (October 24). She claims that she meant to bring it back on October 24, byur=t was in a rush and changed her bag, forgetting that the figurine was in the other purse. -She claims that "the only mistake she made was that she did not ask permission of Mr. Cooper" to borrow the item. Mark reportedly arrived at the home yesterday and removed the client on the premise of taking him out with family. Maria remained in the home with permission from Mark, and was eating her lunch when the RCMP arrived at the door. -Per Maria, the police spoke with her for "a couple of hours" -The RCMP informed Maria that she would have to leave the home and not return. Per Maria, she was given a form to sign (she was not able to tell me what the form was, but she does have a copy of it".
