We did the best we possibly could with caregivers on such short notice and I'm deeply sorry that your experience with Jacqueline last night didn't go well. After a thorough investigation of what went on last night, and following up with other members on your mom's care team, we have decided not to move forward in caring for your mother. Multiple caregivers have reported aggressive behaviour from your end and a lot of yelling and swearing in the middle of the night among other concerning issues around a lady named Tiffany. I understand where your frustrations came from in regards to Jacqueline smoking and not being in the room with your mother at all times, but there were other issues brought to my attention that I feel could put my caregivers at risk, and because of this, I have decided to aire on the side of caution and thus issue you *24 hours notice of services ending.* We will still have Virginia come tonight but at this time, we dont have anyone scheduled to come in at 8 am tomorrow morning. Jacqueline was scheduled for the day shifts all this week and since you dont want her back, we are still looking for tomorrow morning's coverage so if we find someone I will let you know. My job as a Care Manager is to make sure that all my caregivers are being sent to a place where they feel safe, secure and can perform their job to the best of their abilities without the worry of aggression or backlash from family members. I would not be doing my job if I didn't take what Jacqueline reported seriously- and I would do the same if the family reported something serious to me that a caregiver did to a client. Based on feedback from caregivers, it is safe to say they do not 100% feel comfortable in the home and feel as if it could be a risk being there. I truly am sorry that we couldn't make this work, but I wish you and your mother nothing but the best moving forward. Take Care, *Allison Brennan* *Care Manager* *
