I am reaching out to my colleagues in the NE and SE regions looking for some feedback. As you know we are in the middle of rolling out the new SOM. Overall, it is going well. We continue to learn something every day as we embrace a new way to manage our daily operation. It is no surprise to any of us that staffing can be challenging and finding the right staffing specialist is critical. We are currently working on metrics for staffing specialists and finding ways to maximize their output to be sure we are getting the most value from each SM. I know there is no exact science to determine the volume that one staffing specialist person can manage. Some use shifts/hours and some use # of clients. It also depends on the type of client, live-in or hourly, etc. Would you all be so kind and share with me what metric you use for your staffing managers/specialists? How many clients can one SM handle? And if you don't use clients, then how many shifts/hours is manageable? I know each area is different and client demographics are different but it would help give me and my team a guideline to use as we move forward with the SOM. Thank you all in advance for your help. Hopefully the information shared is helpful to others as well. *Cathy Goffredo* Regional Director PA & NJ C. 267-406-5844 *Note my new email address:cathy.goffredo@TheKey.com* *TheKey.com * [image: TheKey] --000000000000bd280c05e2777bb7 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello, I hope this email finds all of y= ou well.
