They said, as per Manitoba Overtime - Employment Standards rules - The employee's are eligible for OT after 8 hours work per day. There are no exemptions. There is CAP 12 hours per day work. If an employee works 12 hours then 8 hours will be regular and 4 hours will be OT. Who is exempt from overtime and hours of work under this provision? Employees who have substantial control over their hours of work and earn a regular annual income of at least two times the Manitoba average industrial wage are exempt from overtime. Both criteria are required for an employee to be exempt from overtime.
