Here are the answers to your questions: 1. Darlene works live-in shifts for Jane. Initially, she was scheduled for 5 days, but at the family's request, this was increased to 7 days. She is scheduled to train someone this weekend and will return to a 5-day live-in schedule starting May 26th. 2. While there haven't been formal documented concerns, Carrie may have information regarding other caregivers dropping shifts with Jane due to wanting to avoid working with Darlene. 3. Darlene began working with Jane in August 2021. 4. Jane has a dementia diagnosis, and her cognitive state can fluctuate. 5. Dea Thomas, who is currently employed with us, is the only other caregiver who would have worked directly with Jane and Darlene. All other caregivers who previously worked with Jane are no longer with TheKey. I've included Tim in this email as we've discussed this situation. We anticipate challenges with immediately removing Darlene from the schedule due to a lack of a readily available qualified live in replacements. The family will also object to a complete change in scheduling. While I understand the seriousness of these allegations, the fact that these incidents were not reported by Dea when they allegedly occurred makes it somewhat difficult to assess the situation. Our primary goal is to ensure Darlene understands that we are aware of the reported behaviors and that HR oversight will be involved. We hope this will deter any continuation of such behavior. Let me know how else I can help.
