I have a few answers for her, but I thought maybe you would better be able to explain the contractuel elements? Is that ok? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Marlene Reed Date: Tue, Sep 13, 2016 at 5:12 PM Subject: RE: Home Care Assistance To: Michele Sazant Hi Michele- I guess we=E2=80=99ll only start Thursday since I have a few questions abou= t the contract. 1. Regarding the 70 cents per kilometer. How do I know how many kilometers were actually driven. Does the caregiver provide an itemized report? 2. Regarding the minimum time, the request is for Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri from 2 to 5 p.m. which is 3 hours per day, no? (12 hours per week) 3. Regarding the Caregiver Agreement. I understand the point and I would never hire someone intentionally whom I know has worked for Home Care Assistance. I worry that I could *unknowingly* hire someone who has worked for Home Care Assistance within the 3-years following a termination, if that person/agency doesn=E2=80=99t disclose this information to me. In the future, if I hire a private person or someone from another company, to protect myself, I could get something in writing from them stating that they have never worked for Home Care Assistance. A) Does Home Care Assistance include or have any sister companies to which this clause could also apply? B) If I were to hire a private person or someone from another company, would I be able to verify with you directly if that person ever worked for Home Care Assistance or any sister company? 4. Regarding contract cancellation: To make sure that I am clear on things, I=E2=80=99d like to know when I can cancel without penalty in the f= ollowing cases: A) As discussed with Tim and Maria, I want to give this a trial run with my Mom, to make sure that she likes and adjusts well to the service. So, let=E2=80=99s say that the Caregiver goes this Thursday and Friday, and= next Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (Sept 15, 16, 19, and 21 to 23, respectively). If I want to cancel the service as of the following Monday (Sept 26), what day would I have to notify you in order to avoid the cancellation fee? B) As mentioned to Tim, my mother will be moving to Westmount around Nov 1 (the date isn=E2=80=99t firm yet). Assuming that my Mom has continued= with the service provided at her current residence, I will be cancelling the service upon the move. I may restart it at a later date, but this is not guaranteed. So, assuming that I want to cancel the service as of Nov 1, what day would I have to notify you in order to avoid the cancellation fee? 5. I don=E2=80=99t really understand the first part of DRIVER RELEASE; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. What exactly am I agreeing to here? Also, regarding the driver, do you guarantee that the driver=E2=80=99s insu= rance is up-to-date and fully paid and in force? Thanks very much. Kindly respond
