As you know she did have a panic attack a couple of weeks back and needed a couple of days away from the business before her vacation in order for her to make a decision about the role. She ultimately did make the decision but gave two weeks notice. My concern is that she received her final pay cheque today and was not paid for her personal or sick days and it seems the two weeks notice was not honored? I also do not know if she will be paid for the April bonus and was wondering if you know the logistics around those payouts when an employee quits? I have also heard that her benefits were cut off immediately despite giving two weeks notice which I am unclear if this is legal or not? I know we sometimes have clauses about bonus payments so I just want to be clear as she is already upset about the sick/personal days. I know Joey the local leader tried to talk to Shameema about all of this as he too is pretty sure she will go to the labor board so we want our ducks in a row. I agree she left us in the lurch but I also want to follow the law and if she if feeling that we are not doing right by her I want us to be ready to be able to answer questions that may come our way. I am sure legal was involved but I was not privy to any of those conversations.
