Thanks to her for being so informative! My mother is in the last stages of her Alzheimer's disease; we are respecting her wishes and keeping her in her home, and one of the services we required was a hospital bed. I was referred to Robert Pelletier of Visibilite.ca. I called Robert on a Friday with the urgent request; at first everything seemed fine, and he promised he would get back to me by the end of the day. - By 4 pm on Friday, I followed up with him, not having received confirmation. - He acknowledged that the order had not been placed and that the bed would be delivered one day later; I insisted that he respect the original delivery date, having arranged for two men to help out on our end. - We received the bed only to discover that the phone quote ($150-250 for a month's rental) was only half the cost, as Robert had neglected to mention a $113 transport fee. - The CLSC told us the bed Visibilite supplied was an extremely old and out-dated model; they said there should have been a table included and that the bed could not be raised to the proper height for their workers. - I spoke to Robert's assistant Linda to order, at an extra charge, a table. She mentioned a cost of $40; again, when the table was delivered, the cost was double. She, too, neglected to mention a $30 drop-off charge. - In the end, the table was broken, the bed was unacceptable, and the CLSC insisted on bringing in their own bed. Ultimately, we paid a lot of money for a sub-standard product, felt exploited at a time when a family member and loved one was dying, and had to subject my mother to the discomfort of being transferred - again - in her final days. I am now focused on being with my mother for her last days and do not wish to be called or consulted any further on this matter. I just thought you should know, and would suggest that you either talk to this supplier about improving their services, or not refer them so enthusiastically. *Lorraine * *Writer/Editor/Translator* CANADA --000000000000b11bcb057d62e8c1 Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Less than wonderful review of Visibilite....
