I deduce that you completed the questionnaires based on my mother's replies rather than observations as many of the answers are incorrect. I do not think that the inaccuracies affect the recommended treatment. When you say 5 hours, is that 5 hours with my mother or does it include travel time? As previously indicated, my mother pays for lunch at the center. Given that you recommend maintaining lunch as an opportunity for socializing, would your staff be able to accompany her to lunch downstairs (both to make sure she actually goes and ensure her safety en route)? My understanding is that mother was provided with a list of exercises by the physiotherapist after her fall. She claims to exercise daily but clearly does not. She has been doing the same exercise routine for years, meaning there are probably no benefits at all, given the body's capacity to adjust to routines. The exercises she does are Mickey Mouse compared to what she should be doing to stay fit. She would benefit from a well designed training program, first to get her back on track and then to reap the disproportionate benefits seniors get from lifting weights, for example. Is your organization able to design a comprehensive, progressive exercise program or is your staff able to encourage disciplined execution of the program if it is provided to you? After discussion with my mother, my wife (copied on this mail) and I would like to begin with 4 hours per day 3 days per week for a 1 month trial period, beginning as soon as possible. What times/days would work best, considering the shuttle to the grocery shopping is scheduled each Tuesday, or does that depend on the availability of the individual caretaker? As previously discussed, we would like to review the profiles of proposed staff and subsequently interview shortlisted candidates via web. Please send us the proposed profiles. I will print and complete the consent and payment form at the office tomorrow as we are currently traveling. We will pay the trial month by credit card. Typically, it remains an internal document, however I have attached it for you to refer to. The tools are short assessment forms that we complete during our meeting with your mother to gain insight on her overall functioning. The focus is on nutrition, cognition, fall risk, behaviour/mood and lastly home and safety. Each tool is designed to develop an understandi
