Before providing you with the list of senior residences, I wanted to stress the benefits of Home Care over a residence one last time. To put it bluntly, you cannot beat one-on-one care. I think I mentioned this on our call but a big portion of the care we provide are in these high end facilities because the residents end up needing more care than the facility is licensed to offer. When seniors require more than 3 hours of care per day, they push the them to transfer to long-term care facilities. So they're forced to move again, or hire a company like ours to pick up the slack in care. In my opinion, if she doesn't require active medical care then keep her at home as long as possible. That being said, here are the facilities I would recommend based on the criteria you detailed in your email and proximity to her daughter Tricia and the Jewish General. I've listed them in no particular order. If you're interested in setting up visits, please let me make the introduction as I can help you with pricing. 1. Westmount One - 4800 Chemin de la C=C3=B4te-Saint-Luc, Montr=C3=A9al, QC= H3W 3H9. ( http://www.westmountone.com/en/) This is one of the highest end senior residences in Montreal. It's a very classy building in which we currently service many clients. The staff is friendly the amenities are beautiful and most importantly, the director of the residence, Mr. Stephen Ray runs a tight ship. - Cost: between $4000 - $6000 / month. Studio's and 3 1/2's available. 2. Place Kensington - 4430 Rue Ste-Catherine O, Westmount, QC H3Z 3E4. ( http://www.placekensington.com/home.html). This is also a very high end facility in Westmount. It's a 30 second walk from our office and we have many clients there. The facility is slightly older so it does not have all the amenities that some of the newer buildings have. The staff is very attentive and caring. It's situated in downtown Westmount so there's plenty to do. I'm awaiting an update from the sales rep for pricing details. 3. The Vista - 5300, chemin de la C=C3=B4te-Saint-Luc Montr=C3=A9al (Qu=C3= =A9bec) H3X 0A3 - (http://www.vistaresidence.ca). The Vista was recently purchased by a major chain called R=C3=A9seau Selection and has undergone a change in staf= f, for the better. The building itself is very nice, with beautiful common areas. The location isn't ideal as it sits right along the Decarie Expressway. Costs between $2700 - $3700 / month for a studio. No other availability at the moment. 4. The Graham - 1935, BOUL. GRAHAM VILLE MONT-ROYAL, QC H3R 1H1 - ( http://legraham.ca/). The Graham is situated in a very nice area of Montreal called (The Town of Mount Royal). It's a high end facility on a very picturesque street in TMR. It's also very close to the Jewish General. It's independently owned and I've heard mostly good reviews. We don't have any clients there.
