T= he first time she said =E2=80=9Cwe have a situation=E2=80=9D, which sounded very serious so I pulled over in m= y car and said =E2=80=9Cis everything ok?=E2=80=9D. She said =E2=80=9Cyou NEED to= calm down=E2=80=9D, which set me off immediately. Mum was fine, but Marlyn was calling because she needed to check with me about giving Mum her antibiotics with a full meal (not necessary), and also see if it was ok if my Mum had a light supper. It was a bit of an odd conversation (not at all =E2=80=9Ca situation=E2=80=9D) and= I spoke to my Mum for a while on the same call, who was in great form - she went to group Tai Chi, talked to friends, and then went to the screening of the opera! It was a great day for Mum, so very unfortunate that it ended with Marlyn=E2= =80=99s unprofessional hystrionics. At 10:04PM, Marlyn called me sobbing. I could see on the camera that my Mum had not fallen, but my heart lurched into my throat nonetheless as she could be having a seizure or something else. After a few minutes of loud sobs, I learned that Marlyn was inconsolably crying because my Mum called her a =E2=80=9Cdummy=E2=80=9D and to =E2=80=9Cjust get out of here=E2=80=9D= . I immediately looked on the video feed and saw that Marlyn had forced my Mum to eat half a cold bacon sandwich with her antibiotics. I reminded Marlyn that I had just told her that it was ok to take them with a little milk or yogurt. I told her to breathe deeply, and calm down so she could make her bus. The curtains were left open in my Mum=E2=80=99s bedroom and I was concerned for her care, and= also Marlyn=E2=80=99s well-being. Marlyn did a bit of sobbing in the bedroom in = front of the camera as she threw the curtains closed in front of my Mum (who was in bed) as I did my best to calm her down and get her out of there so she could make her bus. Of course, the second Marlyn left I immediately had a call from Mum who was also quite upset and made to feel like she is very difficult. Mum told me she obviously didn=E2=80=99t want the sandwich, whic= h she knew was unnecessary, unappetizing and hard to swallow, and that it would make Marlyn late as this happened after the opera at 9:25PM. Mum also said that when they were together in the bathroom, Marlyn made some rude comments about =E2=80=9Cknowing more than Brittany=E2=80=9D, and was arguin= g with Mum about her nighttime pads, forcing her to wear a daytime pad and refusing to put the usual change of pad by Mum=E2=80=99s bed. This was distressing for Mum = as she is well aware that she cannot get out of bed, she has a UTI and needs to change her garment at
