My team will ensure the necessary forms are sent to both the client and the carrier, as they must be completed correctly. We will also need to be able to do a three-way call with the carrier and the client. Please remember that we will always need the client=E2=80=99s payment infor= mation; an immediate AOB does not exempt the client from this requirement. The reason for this is that if the carrier denies the claim for any reason, the client will ultimately be responsible for the payment. *AOB Immediately* - The claim must be approved - AOB & HIPAA must be in the hands of the LTCI team - Three-way VOB call On Thu, Oct 9, 2025 at 12:03=E2=80=AFPM Jeannie Ortiz wrote: > Dear Team, > > We=E2=80=99re excited to share an important update that will make the Lon= g Term > Care (LTC) claims process smoother for both our clients and our Finance > teams. > > *What=E2=80=99s Changing:* > Effective immediately, when a client has an* approved claim* and signs > both the *HIPAA form* and the *Assignment of Benefits (AOB)*, the AOB > will be considered* approved immediately*. > > *Why This Matters:* > > - > > Reduces credit rebills and manual refunds by up to 15%. > - > > Creates a faster, less confusing experience for clients. > - > > Saves time and effort for our Finance and office teams. > - > > Fewer Client Disputes > > *What makes an AOB effective immediately:* > > - > > The claim must be approved > - AOB & HIPAA must be in the hands of the LTCI team > - > > Please be sure to let clients know that this helps speed up their > claims process and reduces billing adjustments. > > This change is supported by Finance leadership and is part of our > commitment to improving client experience and efficiency.
