Hello, Our mother Margaret is 82 years of age and a resident in the independent liv= ing section at Maxwell Residence in Baie d’Urfe. Further to an evaluation from her doctor and the residence nurse (and the ob= servations of her children), Margaret would require support services several= times a week for the following: bathing, getting dressed, ensuring that she= is eating well and taking walks. She has become progressively quite forgetful and the residence has recommend= ed support services to ensure that she is receiving the best care possible. S= he has also not been exercising regularly for quite some time and says that s= he is frequently out of breath. We think that perhaps a schedule beginning at 11am or so would be beneficial= , arriving to assist with bathing and getting dressed, ensuring that she eat= s a healthy lunch followed by a walk to keep her active. The residence curre= ntly provides a service to ensure that she is taking her medication as she h= ad been sometimes neglectful in the past. Please let us know if you are able to provide the described services as well= as provide any recommendations that you might have. Please also provide gui= delines as to costs for services. Our hope is that a regular schedule perhaps three of four days each week wil= l provide Margaret with some structure and reinforce good habits to carry he= r through the days when there is no support service scheduled. I live in BC and can be reached at 514.992.0006 for any questions. My sister= Mary-Jill lives in Pointe-Claire and can be reached at 514.209.5118 to coor= dinate a visit.
