Patricia has Parkinson's, and she lives alone. After her hip surgery scheduled for next week, Patricia is open to the idea of having a 24/7 caregiver for a week and then later reducing hours to 12 hours a day. I quoted them $40 per hour. However, she is not interested in having six caregivers in a week, as she does not want to pay for overtime. She currently employs a caregiver from Visiting Angels for 20 hours per week, but she is prepared to switch providers due to their unreliability and frequent tardiness. She is very interested, but she will first discuss the best hours with her daughter Michelle to avoid having too many people in her home during the week. I attempted to reach her daughter, but she has not yet returned my call. This is a possible care commitment, client.
