Hi Team! I wanted to share a summary of an upcoming initiative focused on improving caregiver and client safety through a comprehensive training that Mansi Mehta, VP of HR Operations and DeeAnne Flegel, Senior Manager of Risk and Workers Comp have developed. *Goal- *Enhance CG and client safety through: - Standardized transfer training - Skills assessments at hire or orientation *Expected Outcomes* - Proactive safety measures to reduce workplace injuries - Improved care quality - Significant reduction in workers’ compensation costs *Rationale* - 42% of workplace injuries occur within the first year of employment - These injuries have cost TheKey $8.6M over the past five years *Financial Objective* - Goal: Decrease claim frequency by 3% to 10% - Projected annual savings: $200K to $700k *Caregiver Training Role* - Designate 2–3 caregivers per field location to serve as trainers - Trainers will be compensated $100–$200 per session *Resource Provision* - PPE and medical equipment will be provided to all field offices - Initial inventory of existing equipment will be conducted first, please fill out this form by EOD Tuesday, May 20th: 👉 Inventory Form <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdF5MyH6LyxftxYxJyags3oJ5wXok4IM-ETdDHbFrZtcw2rzQ/viewform?usp=dialog> *Trainer Development* - Virtual “Train the Trainer” sessions will be conducted by DeeAnne and Mansi - All training materials and resources will be supplied *Implementation Timeline* - Target date: *July 1, 2025**. *DeeAnne and Mansi will be reaching out to each of you by the end of the month to coordinate training. - *Note: This initiative excludes regulated states where clinical competencies are conducted by nurses* Please feel free to reach out to DeeAnne or Mansi with any questions or feedback.
