Montreal Quickbooks Server Phase 2 Security Updates

--00000000000046db2705f0846f98 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Hi Tim: Now that we've gotten all of the users moved over to Splashtop and RDP disabled on the Montreal Quickbooks computer, we can move on to some more operational concerns. Currently every user is logging in to your account to access Quickbooks, and while every user has access to sensitive and confidential information in Quickbooks regardless, it is a violation of corporate policy to share account passwords in this manner. I understand completely that you are facilitating a business need, and I want to be clear: my intent is strictly to help make this process better. We just need to update the process a bit so everyone is logging into that computer a little differently. I spoke with Tim Sr. about switching over to a Quickbooks online/cloud version, which wouldn't require remote access for any of the users(And also provide a backup solution), and he expressed the reasoning behind not doing that in the first place was due to a lack of support for bilingual invoices. In the long term, we will want to see if Quickbooks can provide a Cloud-based solution that will meet our needs. In the short term, I would like to see if we could schedule some time to go over the process your team uses to open the Quickbooks files, and also see if we could migrate the process over to a function-specific user on the computer. This will allow all of the users to login to the same account on the computer, but they will not need to know your password.
