She has severe osteoporosis, which is limiting her ability to get out independently as much as she used to. My sister and I find that she gets very depressed when left on her own for just one day, and cognitively declines rapidly when she has nobody to talk with. She plays bridge every two weeks in her apartment with friends. The CLSC had organised a "friendly visitor" once a week, but the girl is moving away, and Mum is on the waiting list for a replacement.
