We do have a 3rd party agency that we employ, though this balance is relatively low for any legal action that we could take against this client. We could ultimately make an empty threat, but in my experience it may just make them dig their heels in further. I would suggest trying to reach out to them in person and verifying if they have sent the check to us, or getting a check cut. Otherwise If they are being this combative, I do not see a path to collecting on this account. Please advise if you have any other suggestions.
