I did receive your enail and I've since had a chance to discuss with my mother Abbey. We've decided we'd like to choose Home Care Assistance to aid us with caring for my stepfather Andre. I'd like to proceed with the plan you and I discussed on the phone: - I will choose a caregiver for Andre for that the first week following their move to Montreal (July 17 - 21, 10am - 2pm) - I'd also like to arrange interviews with three candidates that first week, so my mother can choose from the group who will remain on a longer term basis (every week M,W,F 10am - 2pm). However my mother is not comfortable with meeting with a care manager to perform an assessment that first week. She doesn't think her need is great enough to engage a professional assessment at this time (and I think she will be overwhelmed with the move and not able to focus on anything but unpacking.) She does want to meet some caregivers, and she agrees with me that there will be a need for an assessment in the near future, but a committing to meeting a care manager right away feels like a loss of control. Is it possible to make the appointment with the care manager for a few weeks' after their arrival, for eg in the month of August or September? Will Home Care Assistance be able to move forward with us on an ad-hoc basis until that point, providing a basic level of companionship care for Andre and respite for my mother? Once they are more settled, I feel sure that we can evaluate together how the move has affected their routine, and build a comprehensive plan with a dedicated care manager. best, Zoe On Wed, Jun 7, 2017 at 1:51 PM, Timothy Thomas wrote: > Hi Ms Greenberg, > > I wanted to follow up with you to ensure you received my previous email > and attachments.
