According to Joey who was covering on-call on the night of December 18th " *The client fell during a transfer and she was unable to get the client up and do any type of mobility with the client., The ambulance needed to be called. She called about 7 times within 2 hours for questions and assistance on procedure a= nd what to do"* - Are there specific duties that she has stated she is not able to complete? As Kathleens' needs progressed in her palliative state, she became more dependent on our caregivers to transfer her. We required caregivers who can support her weight and not pose harm to themselves or the client. The POA expressed concern that Komal could not support Kathl= een on shift and wanted a replacement (see snip of his text attached). Komal was replaced and informed but claimed it was discrimination because she= is pregnant. She claims that her OBGYN clears her to work full duties, although we do not have this documentation. I had a great conversation w= ith her and offered an ROE to issue which she seemed open to but preferred t= o work to "keep herself busy until due date" Kristal Parris RN, BScN Client Success Manager Tel: 416-488-8777 Email: kristal.parris@thekey.com Website: TheKey.ca [image: TheKey] On Fri, Dec 26, 2025 at 10:09=E2=80=AFAM Chantal-Marie Grinstead wrote: > Hi all, > > I want to ensure we approach this situation thoughtfully and > intentionally.
